All fifth grade string students at Ellis, Nokesville, Tyler and Victory Elementary Schools should be practicing to achieve success on their chosen instrument.  Each student should record his or her practice time on the practice chart found on the inside front cover of the string book. 

A minimum of 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week is required each week.  This is only a minimum amount of practice time and those students who wish to excel will practice much more than the minimum.  When I was a child, learning the violin, I practiced 30 minutes each day, every day!
